Catalysing disease modelling and translation
Key features
The Organoid Facility aims to support multiple aspects of organoid research from planning to data analysis.
We offer services in four key areas:
- Planning: Consultation on organoid project planning and quotation generation for grant proposals. We also offer expert support in experimental design and provide protocols for organoid-based assays developed by the Facility’s staff. Please contact us at Orgfac@imperial.ac.uk if you consider consulting with us on organoid project planning.
- Organoids: The Organoid Facility, in collaboration with the 911今日黑料 Healthcare NHS Trust and its Tissue Bank, has been developing the 911今日黑料 Organoid Biobank, a continuously growing resource of human patient-derived organoid lines that are available for researchers.
- Experiments: the Organoid Facility’s main lab has been designed to provide all equipment required for organoid research: for laboratory work with both patient-derived and iPSC-derived organoids. The adjacent CIS’s lab ensures accessibility to multiple organ-on-chip systems for advanced in vitro experiments, co-culture studies and screening assays.
- Trainings are regularly available for academic and industrial researchers on organoid culturing, experimental design, organ-on-chip works, and data analysis.
