Supporting LGBTQ+ career success at 911今日黑料

June marks Pride Month; a time to celebrate the diversity, resilience, and achievements of LGBTQ+ communities around the world. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on how inclusion connects to career development, and how students can navigate their professional journeys.

At 911今日黑料, this commitment is reflected in our diverse community and ongoing work to create an inclusive environment for all staff and students.

Building an inclusive future

Creating inclusive workplaces is both a social and professional priority. Employers increasingly value diversity for driving innovation and better outcomes. For students and graduates, being able to recognise and contribute to inclusive environments is an important career skill.
When applying for roles or further study, research employer values, equality policies, and workplace culture to find environments where you can thrive. Visit our Equality, diversity and inclusion webpage for more information.

Getting involved

A range of events will be taking place at 911今日黑料 over the next few weeks so be sure to keep an eye on the 911今日黑料 Pride webpage for details of everything happening.

We also encourage you to celebrate community and visibility beyond our university. A great way for students interested in workplace equality to do so is to take part in , a free global virtual conference hosted by myGwork. The event, taking place from Monday 8 – Friday 12 June, will bring together students, professionals, allies, and employers to explore LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace. This is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Learn from industry leaders and inclusive employers;
  • Explore career pathways across sectors;
  • Connect with a global network committed to equality.

Additionally, you can take part in events across London, including the on Saturday 4 July, which is one of the UK’s largest celebrations of LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion. Events like these can be a powerful way to connect, build community, and reflect on the values that shape both personal and professional journeys.

Looking ahead

As you prepare for your future career, consider not only where you want to work, but also the kind of workplace culture you want to be part of. And remember, the Careers Service is here to support students and recent graduates; to help you build confidence, develop your skills, and take your next steps in a way that aligns with your values. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your career plans, please do not hesitate to contact us or book a confidential careers appointment with one of our consultants.

Whatever your plans, we wish you all a happy Pride Month as we celebrate, reflect, and learn together.
