RIBA Stage 0 - Strategic Definition

To identify the client's Business Case and Strategic Brief, with other core project requirements.

RIBA Stage 1 - Preparation and Brief

To develop project objectives, such as sustainability aspirations, a project budget and an initial project brief. Undertake feasibility studies and review of site information.

RIBA Stage 2 - Concept Design

To prepare the concept design, including information on structural design, building services systems and preliminary cost information. Agree on alterations to the brief and issue the final project brief.

RIBA Stage 3 - Developed Design

To prepare a developed design, including updated proposals for structural design, building services systems, cost information and project strategies.

RIBA Stage 4 - Technical Design

To prepare a technical design including all architectural, structural and building services information, specialist subcontractor design and specifications.

RIBA Stage 5 - Manufacturing & Construction

The offsite manufacturing and onsite construction period in accordance with the construction programme. The resolution of design queries from site as they occur.
