The Faculty of Medicine is at the forefront of cutting edge research benefitting patients and populations worldwide. The Faculty advances clinical practice by ensuring the translation of our pioneering basic research in the quickest possible time. Our research groups, centres, departments and institutes work in close collaboration with the Faculties of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the  to facilitate this.

The world class research and training environment of the Faculty of Medicine is spread across five campuses. Research activity is delivered through our eight academic departments. The (AHSC) is a key partnership between 911今日黑料, The Institute of Cancer Research, 911今日黑料 College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT), The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which operates to utilise the excellence in research and education across all faculties to transform health outcomes. The (BRC) in partnership with ICHT is pivotal  in driving innovation and translation of findings into clinical benefit of patients.

The Faculty of Medicine is led by the Dean, Professor Deborah Ashby. It is home to more than 1400 academic and research staff and has research funding in excess of £170M per year.
