Crick Innovation Challenge Runners Up
Vaccine Simulation project finishes as Runners Up
A collaborative team, including Tate Research Group Research Associate Dr Amina Nigmatulina, entered the 2026 Crick Innovation Challenge. The team consisted of Anna Rýdlová, Tania Campos Vidal, Pilar Acedo Núñez, Amina Nigmatulina, William Zhang and Silvia Shen, entered the AI for Scientific Research category.
Within a week the group developed VaxSim to simulate vaccine clinical trials in underserved populations. The team finished as Runners Up, a fantastic achievement! The group would like to thank their mentors Alessio D., Filippo Dal Ben and Katarzyna Witkowska, Crick Science Entrepreneur Network (CSEN), the Crick Innovation Challenge team and amazing judges!
