The ICB team hosted a drop-in clothing mending session for their CDT students as part of sustainability month at 911今日黑料.

For the afternoon of the 24th March, the ICB CDT held a drop-in session based around the textiles and graphics area of the Advanced Hackspace. There were demonstrations and support on the sewing machines, vinyl cutter, heat press/iron, and the embroidery machine.

Students were encouraged to bring in clothes and bags that needed mending and to bring lab coats to embroider with their name.

During this event, students picked up skills to use the equipment by themselves and develop further ideas. There were some really nice designs produced and we hope to see more in the future!
