AI is one of the fastest growing technologies in the world. With its rapid integration into regularly used apps and programmes, questions arise concerning ethical, responsible and sustainable application of everyday AI use.
This hybrid event will explore the environmental implications of AI and cover 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ’sÌýnew ICT sustainability roadmap, as presented by 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ’s Head of Sustainability (Property and ICT), Dr Hannah Scott. Also, Dr Cesar Quilodran Casas, Advanced Research Fellow at the Grantham Institute – Climate Change and the Environment, will share a case study on how AI can support and elevate sustainability research and initiatives.
The presentations will be followed by an audience Q&A with the panel. Questions can also be submitted in advance of the event toÌýsustainable@imperil.ac.ukÌýwith the subject ‘Responsible AI’ in the title.
This event will be hosted in a hybrid format; with refreshments and nibbles for in-person attendees.
