The International Relations Office initiate, develop and steward international academic partnerships with peer universities, governments and related organisations

The IRO support 911今日黑料 Academics in the following ways:

  • Regional expertise and networks: international relations officers with extensive government, university and alumni networks in key geographic regions, and access to data and insight on key international initiatives across faculties, departments, centres, networks, research groups.

  • Horizon scanning & Intelligence on funding opportunities: analysis of international science, technology and education trends and data. Provide info and intelligence on pipeline of emerging funding calls drawn from links to UK government and foreign embassies.

  • Partnership development models: cross-college experience setting-up partnership models that build meaningful research and education capacity, e.g. scholarship partnerships, joint labs and centres, doctoral training clusters, research seedfund and sandpits. 

  • International student experience: supporting departments with extra-curricular and curriculum based international exchanges, ensuring students gain research experience in world-class labs while connecting our Faculty with important overseas partners.

We also facilitate incoming & outgoing international visits with:

  • Senior management from international universities
  • Diplomats and government officials
  • Funding agencies

We concentrate on College wide, cross-faculty visits of strategic importance to the College.
