The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has declared a national incident in response to an increasing incidence of measles infection in England. The World Health Organization has also warned about the considerable increase in measles cases across Europe.

Mpox

Mpox, a viral illness related to smallpox, has been identified in the UK in small numbers. Recently, the WHO declared a public health emergency due to a rise in Clave 1b variant cases in central Africa. There are no current travel restrictions or vaccination requirements for affected regions, but travellers may face screening and temperature checks at borders.
