Who can use the CRF?

911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ-based researchers and staff

All researchers from 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ and 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ College Healthcare NHS Trust are welcome to apply to run a study within the CRF.

Commercial companies and external researchers

The 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ CRF welcomes applications from external researchers and commercial companies. The study will require a Principal Investigator from either 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ or 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ College Healthcare NHS Trust. Contact the Senior Management Team if  you need our help to identify a suitable PI.

Study acceptance criteria

If your study meets the following criteria you may apply:

General criteria

The 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ CRF is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to support experimental medicine studies i.e. investigations in humans to identify the cause of disease and/or to test the validity and importance of new discoveries and treatments. This includes the following study categories:

• Phase 0
• Phase I
• Phase II
• Experimental medicine (non-trial)
• Non-drug interventions
• Biomarker
• Diagnostic
• Device
• Epidemiological
• Observational
• Screening

Clinical trials of investigational medicinal products criteria

• Early-phase studies (Phase II and earlier),
• Experimental medicine studies that are nested within later-phase studies and require specialised facilities/staff/equipment.
• Later-phase studies that include high-intensity or high-complexity elements
