What is Pride month?

Every year, Pride month takes place in June to commemorate the . It is an opportunity to remember all those who fought for, and continue to fight for, LGBTQ+ rights, celebrate gay culture and raise awareness of the issues that members of the community continue to face both in the UK and internationally.

Every year, 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ hosts events and activities to celebrate Pride month. This year’s events include:

• Monday 3 June, 13.40 – 16.30: Out in STEM (talk organised by the Dep. of Chemistry) 

• Tuesday 4 & Thursday 6 June, 10.00 – 13.00: LGBTQ+ inclusion and mental health (online course) 

• Monday 10 June, 17.30 – 18.30: LGBTQ+ students of 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ (series screening) 

• Thursday 13 June, 12.45 – 13.45: Being your true self at 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ (discussion and Q&A) 

• Tuesday 25 June, 16.00 – 17.00: LGBTQ+ Archives at Bishopsgate Institute (talk organised by the Dep. of Chemical Engineering)
