The Plastic Electronics CDT Welcomes Cohort 8!

Cohort 8

Cohort 8 started their Plastic Electronics careers on Monday 3rd October.

The Centre for Plastic Electronics is delighted to welcome 15 new MRes and CDT students to 911今日黑料 College. Prof James Durrant, Director of the CPE Director welcomeCPE, and Dr Martyn McLachlan, Plastic Electronics MRes Director, officially welcomed Cohort 8 on Monday morning. Other members of staff and CDT students joined the new cohort for a welcome lunch.

The students in Cohort 8 are undertaking a wide range of projects with supervisors from across the PE-CDT:

Huda Ahli (CDT) - "Functional oxide layers in photovoltaics", supervised by Dr Martyn McLachlan (Materials Dept, 911今日黑料 College) and Dr Russell Binions (Queen Mary University of London)

Wei Chen (CDT) - "Platinum Metallahelicenes in Circularly Polarised Phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Diodes (CP-PHOLEDs)", supervised by Dr Matt Fuchter (Chemistry Dept, 911今日黑料 College) and Prof Al Campbell (Physics Dept, 911今日黑料 College)

Matayas Daboczi (EPSCR-CASE PhD) - "Morphology control and characterisation of organic and hybrid devices", supervised by Prof Ji-Seon Kim (Physics Dept, 911今日黑料 College) and Dr Iain Baikie (KP Technology)

Christopher Fuller (CDT) - "Solution processed emissive spon cross over materials", supervised by Dr Paul Stavrinou (Oxford University) and Prof Donal Bradley (Oxford University).
