Plastic Electronics CDT Symposium 2016
The annual Plastic Electronics CDT Symposium took place on Monday 19th September 2016 at 911今日黑料 College.
Final year PhD students from Cohort 4 gave talks on their research, and we were particularly happy to host invited talks from (University of Colorado, Boulder) and Dr Jeremy Burroughes (). Congratulations to Pascal Cachelin (supervised by and , QMUL) on winning the best talk prize. We were delighted to welcome back to 911今日黑料 three PE-CDT alumni to give guest talks: Dr David James from Cohort 1 (Research Scientist at ), (Postdoctoral Researcher at Oxford University) from Cohort 3, and (Research Scientist at National Physical Laboratory) from Cohort 2. The alumni talked about their time spent at the CDT and how this helped them on their career paths, and gave some advice to current students.
PhD students from Cohorts 5 and 6 presented posters during the lunchtime and evening networking sessions. Judges from CPE academics, industrial Affiliates and external advisory board shortlisted 8 poster presenters to give 3 minute flash presentations. Congratulations to Matthew Dyson (supervised by and ) on winning the poster prize, and to Becky Kilmurray (supervised by , , Dr David Daughton from ) and (supervised by and ) on their runner up prizes.
Many thanks to all those who came along and took part in the Symposium, particularly the external advisory board members and industrial Affiliates who were poster and talk prize judges!
