Visitors to the 911今日黑料 Festival playing computer games with brainwaves
CDT Neurotechnology students presented two successful exhibits at the 911今日黑料 Festival in May
Students from the CDT in Neurotechnology for Life and Health experienced the energy of the 911今日黑料 Festival in May, running two successful exhibits over the two days of the festival.
Brains of Brawn explained how the brain and body controls muscles and allowed visitors to solve an interactive puzzle to make a muscle move.
Visitors could also have a go at making their own nerve cell out of pipe cleaners (which was very popoular with the younger visitors!) and even hear the sound of their own muscles moving.
Playing with Brainwaves challenged visitors to control a specially designed computer game, using their "brainwaves" via an EEG headset.
Festival-goers could also build a brain model and colour and make their own "brain-hat" depicting the parts of the brain and their functions.
Congratulations to the CDT students for all their hard work, which paid off in two great stands.
