The President of – the international society for optics and photonics – accompanied by SPIE CEO Dr Eugene Arthurs met with the college’s Optical Society, which is an affiliated , to discuss their work in bringing together researchers in the field of optics and photonics at 911今日黑料 and promoting the science and application of light to the wider community.

In recent years, the society has been active in exhibiting at national science fairs and demonstrating optical science and applications to local schools. 911今日黑料 College has also been designated as one of eight partners for an EU-funded ‘GoPhoton!’ initiative to raise awareness about the importance of photonics and the college is set to play a significant role in outreach work for the in 2015.
