911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ, Brunel University and Buckinghamshire New University announced plans to partner in postgraduate provision for health professionals on 21 May

Under the proposals for a new-look Health Sciences Academy, the three universities would offer a breadth of postgraduate and post-qualification training for health professionals, while developing new and innovative courses.

At the event held at 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ to launch the vision for the HSA, Professor Jenny Higham, Vice Dean (Education and Institutional Affairs) in the Faculty of Medicine, was joined by former 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ Pro-Rector Professor Julia Buckingham, now Vice Chancellor of Brunel University, and Professor Ruth Farwell, Vice Chancellor of Bucks New University, as well as leaders from across the 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ College Academic Health Science Network.

Professor Jenny Higham said: “The Health Sciences Academy will allow healthcare professionals to access the world-leading academic expertise at 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ College, as well as that of our partners, as we work together to drive up standards and improve the patient experience.

“Collaborations like this allow us to become much more than the sum of our parts.”

911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ is widely regarded as a world-leader in the teaching, research and translation of clinical medicine. Brunel and Bucks New Universities have established strong reputations for allied health professional, nursing and midwifery postgraduate education and training.
