You’ll be attending lectures, tutorials, workshops and laboratory sessions in a number of areas including thermofluids, materials, mechanics, dynamics, stress analysis and design.
With this strong basis you’ll go onto largely elective study in the third and fourth years. You can focus on the areas you are most interested in and tap into cutting edge research activities. These are led by academic staff with internationally recognized expertise.
Whether it's computational mechanics, sustainable energy technology, combustion, nuclear energy, nanomaterials or many other areas, you'll be conducting sophisticated engineering activities with leaders in the field.
In addition to the unrivalled opportunities in the Department, there is an option to study for a year at one of a selection of world class overseas universities. You can also take advantage of our close links with a range of employers and complete a year in industry as part of your degree.
