911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ

The Institute of Clinical Sciences (ICS) is one of eight departments within the Faculty of Medicine. The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) 200 staff form a significant part of the ICS.

The relationship between the ICS and the LMS allows for an effective interface between the fundamental research undertaken at the LMS and the established translational and clinical infrastructure at 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ. The MRC and 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ work together through the ICS to ensure that fundamental discoveries can be quickly and appropriately exploited for new clinical insights.

Together, the MRC and 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ have created an innovative portfolio of training programmes at the ICS which provide opportunities for non-clinical and clinical scientists across the medical sciences, as well as cross-disciplinary opportunities offered in partnership with colleagues in the Faculties of Natural Sciences and Engineering.
