The Department of Bioengineering integrates engineering sciences with biomedical research and clinical practice. Research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, autoimmune/inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases. Approaches include experimental and computational modelling technologies, systems biology, machine learning, drug delivery systems, medical device design and control engineering.
