Who is this course for?

This is a course aiming to consolidate and improve your listening and speaking skills at beginner level. The course will be ideal for learners who have completed the after:hours Spanish 1 (Beginners) course or for new students with equivalent A1 level proficiency.

If you are new to our Spanish courses, choosing the right level is very important and you are advised to take our level-checking test prior to enrolment. This is the link:

Course content

Topics: Talking about our daily activities. Describing and locating places. Ordering food and drink. Likes and preferences. Dealing with numbers

Grammar: the present tense, verbs ser/estar, verbs to express likes and dislikes, pronouns

Term dates

•  Summer Term: week beginning 11 May 2026 until week ending 19 June 2026 (no class on 25 May 2026)
