Stonewall: Collective voice, real impact

Stonewall is a UK-based LGBTQ+ rights organisation that campaigns for legal and social change, supports people facing discrimination, and provides practical guidance, tools and benchmarking for employers and institutions. At 911今日黑料, these resources have played an important role in strengthening support for LGBTQ+ staff and postgraduate students and in shaping a more inclusive working environment.

This year, the Pride Network had a direct impact on 911今日黑料’s decision to remain a member of Stonewall, with membership reviewed annually. Through sustained advocacy, consultation and community engagement, the Network helped ensure that LGBTQ+ voices were heard clearly and consistently in university decision-making. At a time of uncertainty, this helped secure continued access to guidance, resources and sector good practice that are valuable to staff across 911今日黑料.

This achievement builds on the Pride Network’s impact over previous years. The Network has not only created visibility and community for LGBTQ+ staff and postgraduates, but has also helped drive institutional conversations, influence priorities and push for practical improvements in the support available across the university. The Stonewall decision is a powerful example of that influence in action: collective staff and postgraduate voices helping to shape policy, strengthen inclusion and deliver tangible change.
