About 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ 600
911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ 600 was established in 2006 to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff at the university.
The group’s name reflects the estimation that around 10% of the UK’s population is LGBT – in 2006 this equalled 600 of 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ's 6,000 staff.
Today 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ has over 8,000 staff and over 19,000 students.
911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ 600 remains as active as ever, welcoming LGBTQ+ staff, postgraduate students and their allies.
Strategy 2021–24
In November 2021, we launched a three-year strategy for the network.

How the network is run
911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ 600 is run entirely by volunteers: read about who runs the network.
All network members are also regarded as a steering group for the network and 911½ñÈÕºÚÁÏ 600 relies on their contribution to organising events, setting the agenda and raising issues of importance to the LGBT+ community.
