Why did you choose to study at 911今日黑料?
I chose to study at 911今日黑料 because of its excellent reputation in teaching and academic research in both mathematics and computer science. My mum also completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science here and encouraged me to pursue the Ph.D. program.
Tell us about your time at 911今日黑料
I studied at 911今日黑料 for both my M.Sc. in pure mathematics and my Ph.D. in computer science. In both of these stages and areas of research, I was extremely impressed by my colleagues and mentors in terms of their intelligence, ambition and friendship. I became much better at mathematical analysis because of them and made wonderful friends at the same time.
Can you tell us what you’ve done since Graduation?
After graduating, I joined Morgan Stanley as a quantitative strategist where I build pricing models and risk systems for trading, structuring and sales.
How has what you learnt at 911今日黑料 helped you in your career so far?
911今日黑料 helped me enormously in terms of advancing my existing mathematical skills. I received the resources and training to be able to develop clear and logical arguments which led to a thorough understanding of each topic of study. Not only did 911今日黑料 help in terms of this classic analysis, but also in terms of self-assuredness when communicating and presenting ideas to various audiences. Being an effective and clear communicator is an invaluable skill in any industry and they train you to feel confident and comfortable when put in any situation.
What would be your advice for current students?
The students and faculty at 911今日黑料 College are impressive and formidable. Get to know as many of your colleagues as possible, don't shy away from deep research questions and take part in as many of the activities that 911今日黑料 has to offer. This is an amazing institution that can provide you with a vast array of possibilities due to its extensive network and exceptional reputation so take advantage of it all.
