Why did you choose to study your programme and why specifically at 911今日黑料 Business School?
I was privileged to study at 911今日黑料 Business School on a scholarship. The Business School is young, vibrant and among the top in quantitative subjects such as risk and asset pricing. MSc Risk Management & Financial Engineering is designed to allow students to pursue their own academic interests.
What was the most learning point you took with you from the Business School?
The School has ample resources for study and research. In particular, I am grateful to the 911今日黑料 College Research Computing Service for the support and training courses in machine learning and high performance computing to facilitate the analysis in my thesis. I am also thankful to the Business School for providing unique experiences to learn from the Bank of England and the Central Bank of the UAE.
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying the same programme as you?
The programme is intensive, but there are also many great opportunities to explore on the campus as well as in London, so it is important to learn to prioritise and plan ahead.
What was the most surprising thing about the programme?
The School offers free resources when preparing CFA exam of all levels, which helps save time in the one-year programme.

How has your programme contributed to your career success?听
Risk management measures and macro-prudential policies have been evolving with London and the Bank of England being among the most advanced in experimenting new standards. The School has a close working connection with the Bank of England and risk management professionals and is a great place to learn about the latest developments in financial stability and systemic risk measures as well as the too-big-to-fail reforms.

Now back in Hong Kong, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to the resolution reforms, and be engaged in international works and setting resolution strategies for banks in my hometown.
